News: I recently received the 2007 Eli Jury award from the EECS Department at U.C. Berkeley for my thesis. This award is presented to a graduate student or recent alumnus for outstanding achievement in the area of Systems, Communications, Control, or Signal Processing.

Hi, welcome to my home page. I received my Ph.D. degree from the EECS Department at U.C. Berkeley, and M.S. and B.Eng. degrees from the Electronics Engineering Department at Tsinghua University. I am now visiting the Communication and Collaboration System group of Microsoft Research at Redmond. I will join the Information Engineering Department (home of p2p streaming and network coding) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Fall 2007.

My research interests are in general areas of transferring information over networks, including source coding, flow control, network routing and coding, and wireless communications.

The easiest way to reach me is by this e-mail: minghua (at) eecs (dot) berkeley (dot) edu.
