• From points to triangles (105 MB)
• Filling holes in facades (51 MB)
• Removing foreground objects (20 MB)
• Texturing the facade mesh (16 MB)

 

 

1. Path segmentation & depth image generation

 

Subdividing driven path into quasi-linear segments and convert to depth image.

 

      

 

2. Foreground/background separation

 

Based on histogram analysis, foreground objects (cars, trees, etc.) are separated from the background (facades)

 

 

 

3. Facade processing and hole filling

 

Removing erroneous scan points and filling holes in the facades. 

 

4. Texture mapping

 

Using camera images to texture-map the facades. Occlusions and foreground objects in the images are considered.
